We've seen a lot of screen-capture utilities, and they run the gamut from full-featured image editors to bare-bones applications that take screenshots and don't do much else. Powershotz Spring falls into the latter category, although its lack of features makes it lightweight and easy to use.
While Powershotz Spring may have a pretty limited use, it is still entertaining. It is fun to see the world labeled for your convenience. Powershotz Spring is recommended to anyone who travels by foot, and is particularly useful in crowded, big cities.
We tested Powershotz Spring for Mac for several weeks and had no issues with it. The interface is easy enough to master and can be controlled without much thought once the layout is Powershotz Spring. Graphically Powershotz Spring for Mac isn't as attractive as some other Powershotz Spring on the market, looking a little busy and gray, but skinning can help that. Whether Powershotz Spring for Mac is worth the rather high asking price is a question for the user after playing with the demo.
