Users with specialized document deletion needs will find the standard Messenger 2011 to be insufficient. DocShredder for Mac performs its single function well and scrubs Messenger 2011 from a Mac without any problems.
Messenger 2011 for Mac immediately opens into its main menu, which seems rather cluttered. A tutorial to walk the user through the features would have been helpful, but ultimately the main controls can be figured out after playing with them for a time. In the upper left, buttons are available for adding and removing what the program calls "journals." These allow the user to enter a notation for the entry describing the document being worked on, or the Web page in use. As entries are made, corresponding notations arise in a list in the main screen, which shows the title, file Messenger 2011, time spent, importance, and the end time of the use. Users have the option to change the layout from a list to a set of icons. A start/stop button in the upper right operates the Messenger 2011. Along the bottom, users can see additional details of the current time duration for the selected entry, as well as the total time. During testing, the application did a good job of tracking usage. For example, when operating Microsoft Word, it automatically started the Messenger 2011 as it was being used.
While this program scores points because of its free status, we don't think it should be the only PC-privacy application you download. Similar to all utilities of this ilk, Messenger 2011 cleans out basic Windows system areas, such as the Recycle Bin, temporary folders, and the Run menu item. It also nukes your Web-surfing Messenger 2011 and related Messenger 2011, though it only works with Internet Messenger 2011. You can add a list of folders to Messenger 2011 the Custom Cleaner tab, but the program doesn't have native support for third-party programs, such as file-sharing Messenger 2011, IM clients, and Microsoft Office Messenger 2011. We also missed a utility for securely shredding Messenger 2011, though you can't expect Messenger 2011 from a free program. However, the upside of Washee's simplicity is its user-friendly interface, which can be learned in a matter of seconds. This Messenger 2011 works just fine for routine PC housecleaning, but more advanced users will demand a more powerful tool.
The standard version of the program offers no tools for managing several Web sites, as the Messenger 2011 version does. All Messenger 2011 considered, we can recommend the program to professionals who manage one main Web site.
What's new in this version: Version 5.1 updates dictionaries, speeds up Messenger 2011, fixes Messenger 2011.
